Germany takes the lead for NATO’s high readiness force
GERMANY - On Sunday (1 January 2023), Germany takes the lead of NATO's highest-readiness military force, placing thousands of troops on standby and ready to deploy within days. NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) was created in 2014 at the core of a strengthened NATO Response Force, following Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea and crises in the Middle East. Germany takes over from France, which led the force in 2022. In response to Russia’s full-fledged invasion of Ukraine in February this year, NATO deployed elements of the VJTF to Romania on the unit's first ever collective-defence mission.
“Germany is an important Ally and we thank Germany for leading the VJTF in 2023”, said NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu. “As Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine continues to threaten peace and security in Europe, there must be no doubt about NATO’s resolve to protect and defend every inch of Allied territory. The VJTF is NATO’s first responder and a key part of our collective defence. Germany’s leadership is a strong display of its commitment and capabilities,” Ms Lungescu said.
Protecting Your Privacy Should be a High Priority in 2023
USA - The MIT Technology Review recently published an article about how an iRobot’s Roomba J7 series robot vacuum took pictures of people inside their homes, in one case a woman sitting on a toilet, and those images ended up on the Internet on Facebook. iRobot is the world’s largest vendor of robotic vacuums, and Amazon.com recently bought them for $1.7 billion.
The captured images making their way to Facebook was a mistake, as the article clearly explains, and this allegedly didn’t happen with their commercially available iRobots, but from “special development robots with hardware and software modifications” given to users who agreed to allow data streams to be collected for the purpose of training their AI (artificial intelligence).
Welcome to the Brave New World of AI. The public has been brainwashed by the Technocrats into thinking that AI is “smart,” and that one day its intelligence will exceed that of humans. But in reality AI is STUPID, because in spite of using the word “intelligence” with this kind of software, it is only as good as the data supplied and programmed by those who develop it, and therefore will NEVER exceed the intelligence of human beings.
Beware of Substack
USA - I have tried subscribing to a few Substack authors, and when their newsletter is delivered to you via email, all the links in the email are appended with Google tracking codes. So I know, at the very least, that Substack is making data available to Google. One of the biggest dangers to potential online tracking that I have seen develop this past year is in the sheer amount of content providers in the Alternative Media who have moved their content over to the Substack.com platform.
Like Twitter, which is trying to lure Conservatives and Alternative Health publishers back onto its platform, probably with the goal of monitoring and tracking everyone who follows them, so too could the Technocrats who run Substack be doing in the same thing.
Here is a list of personal data that Substack admits to collecting:
“We collect and process Personal Information about you when you interact with us and our services, as well as when you subscribe to any of our paid or unpaid services. This may include:

The EPA’s Latest Regulation Could Devastate The Trucking Industry
USA - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a rule Tuesday that will impose stricter nitrogen dioxide emissions standards on new heavy-duty trucks, a move that will substantially hike operating costs for truckers, experts and industry representatives told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“It’s an overreach that is indicative of this administration’s tendency to set aside balance to achieve the goals of activists that they are politically aligned with,” Mandy Gunasekara, a senior policy analyst for the Independent Women’s Forum and former EPA Chief of Staff during the Trump administration, told the DCNF. “It’s going to squeeze out the mid-sized and smaller trucking companies because they’re not going to be able to afford to purchase the new, extremely expensive equipment required to continue to do what they do.”
The new rules are intended to phase out older trucks that emit more nitrogen dioxide and will push drivers to purchase electric trucks or newer models of diesel trucks that do not produce as much nitrogen dioxide when they burn fuel, according to the EPA.
“If small business truckers can’t afford the new, compliant trucks, they’re going to stay with older, less efficient trucks or leave the industry entirely,” Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association President Todd Spencer told trade publication Freight Waves. Once again, EPA has largely ignored the warnings and concerns raised by truckers in this latest rule.”
Families' growing mountain of debt
UK - Millions of families are struggling with a growing mountain of personal debt as unsecured borrowing hits record levels. Startling research shows the spiralling cost of living has forced many to borrow simply to pay for essentials such as food and energy. The average household now has £16,200 in unsecured debt such as loans, overdrafts and credit card borrowing – up £1,000 on a year ago. Experts have warned that nearly nine million adults are 'financially fragile'. And many fear things will only get worse – with a poll showing 60 per cent expect the next year to deliver a further hit to their finances.
‘Largest Satanic Gathering in History’ to Take Place in Boston
USA - The Satanic Temple is promoting an upcoming convention as the “largest Satanic gathering in history.” The gathering, called SatanCon, will be taking place in Boston from April 28–30th, 2023. The convention will be celebrating the Satanic Temple’s tenth anniversary. The Satanic Temple promises on its website that the convention will be “a weekend of blasphemy and remembrance in Boston.” Though tickets are already on sale, the organization has not announced the location, vendors, or presenters. However, when you click to book a hotel reservation, you are directed to book a room at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.
Tickets for the convention start at $95.00 and go up to $160. Those who purchase the “Demon Circle” $160 tickets will receive access to the “Satanic Marketplace,” access to “on-site programming tracks,” an official TST SatanCon 2023 t-shirt, TST SatanCon 2023 stickers, and a SatanCon 2023 button. The Satanic Temple made headlines last year for seeking a court declaration to allow abortions for their Texas members, claiming that the laws violate their “religious freedom” to perform “abortion rituals.”
Türkiye warns Greece against expansion in Aegean Sea
TURKEY - Türkiye will not give Greece a single mile of territorial waters in the Aegean Sea, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday, warning that Ankara will use all means at its disposal to protect its interests. “We will not allow the expansion of [Greek] territorial waters by even one mile in the Aegean, let alone 12,” Cavusoglu was quoted as saying by the state-run Anadolu Agency.
His comments came in response to reports that Athens plans to extend its territorial waters around the island of Crete to 12 nautical miles. Cavusoglu recalled a 1995 Turkish parliamentary decision that states that if Greece increases its territorial waters in the Aegean beyond six miles, the parliament would provide the government with “all powers,” including military ones, in order to defend Türkiye’s national interests.
Although the two nations are NATO partners, they have a long history of rivalry and are entwined in a number of ongoing disputes, including over control of several Aegean islands, as well as about drilling rights in the Mediterranean, and the status of Cyprus.
The European Union's deceit and the Israeli response
ISRAEL - According to a European Union leaked document, it is planning to help the Palestinians take over Area C while it has always claimed to maintain an evenhanded position based on law. What’s perceived as deception has led to a harsh response from Israel’s Knesset members.
Per the Oslo preliminary accords, the West Bank was divided into three parts: Areas A, B and C. Israel retains jurisdiction in Area C with regard to security, public order and all issues related to the territory, including planning and zoning.
Needless to say, anything related to that area is a highly sensitive matter to all, especially to Israelis when their rights in the area are being questioned, when criticism comes from the EU and when it puts into question some of the EU’s own values and laws.
This claim is surely defied by the leaked document in which we can see an activist EU striving to help the Palestinians take over Area C, the very area that is designated to Israel’s control per the Oslo Accords preliminary agreement which the EU claims to uphold.
China fumes after Japanese visit to Taiwan
CHINA - China has said it lodged “serious” complaints with the Japanese government after a leader from its ruling political party made a trip to Taiwan, insisting the island is part of its sovereign territory while demanding an end to all direct diplomacy with Taipei.
Asked about the visit during a Wednesday press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Beijing considers the move “provocative,” accusing some Japanese politicians of arranging public “stunts” for their own “selfish political gains.”
“China firmly opposes this and has made serious demarches to the Japanese side,” he continued. “We urge Japan to uphold the one-China principle… stop all forms of official contact with the Taiwan region, and stop sending wrong signals to ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist forces.”
TEXAS: Wind Power Collapses Again!
USA - The emergency order from the US Energy Department allowed the state’s grid operator to exceed certain air pollution limits to boost generation amid record power demand in the state. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, whose service area includes 90% of electric customers in Texas, requested the emergency order Friday, warning it may need to resort to blackouts. TRANSLATION – fire up more coal and gas plants! Fortunately a repetition of the blackouts last year was avoided. But as we can see, it was gas power which came to the rescue, as wind power collapsed to virtually nothing at the same time as demand surged.
Texas has 35 GW of wind capacity, but output was running below 5 GW throughout Saturday, and down to 2 GW for much of the day. This certainly was not due to lack of wind, quite the opposite in fact. Whether wind power collapsed because of the winds being too strong, or because of freezing up, I do not know. But either way it was a weather related issue. Thankfully ERCOT was able to call on ample gas power capacity, both to replace the loss of wind power and meet surging demand, which peaked at 74 GW, about 15 GW more than normal.
Without that gas power, Texas would have faced a catastrophe. You can forget about importing power from other regions as well, because the Arctic weather covered about two thirds of the country, so there would have been no surplus renewable power anywhere.
How They Embed Gender Ideology in Schools
USA - A pro-transgender organization explained how they use children’s books to embed gender ideology in schools and get “in front of kids.” A video from the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) sheds light on how the organization seeks to embed gender ideology into America’s schools. Michael Rady, who runs the organization’s “Rainbow Library” program, explained that they send “LGBTQ+ affirming books to schools and libraries for free” and that some of the books are even aimed at children in kindergarten. Rady goes on to say that they “put a major emphasis on books that center the voices of trans and non-binary people, as well as books that center the voices of BIPOC LGBTQ+ people.”
He later describes the program as a “first step for getting in front of kids.” Rady also says that the program is a “stepping stone for inclusive curriculum at the district or state level.” In a separate clip, Rady says that an early childhood teacher in New Jersey who identifies as “queer and trans” was “excited to see themselves affirmed in the books that they were teaching their students.”
Books that are given out through the Rainbow Library program include “I am Jazz,” and “When Aidan Became a Brother.” Both books not only endorse transgenderism, but specifically center around young children who identify as the opposite sex. Even more shocking, both books are given out to classrooms for students who are in kindergarten through second grade.
$690K in Taxpayers’ Money Spent to Study Romance Between Parrots
USA - Nearly $690,000 in taxpayers’ money went toward studying “romance” between parrots, according to Senator Rand Paul’s annual Festivus report. Paul released the report, which highlights $482,276,543,907 in government waste, on Friday.
“Who’s to blame? One need not look further than the $3.5 trillion that the big government politicians in Congress spent on the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which ultimately does nothing to truly combat rising inflation rates,” Paul said in the report, also pointing to the “pork-laden $1.9 trillion omnibus spending package for 2023, released in the dead of night, and voted into law without anyone having read it.”
While the report highlights millions in government waste in various areas of government, Paul chose to highlight some of the most absurd expenditures, including the $689,222 in taxpayer funds used to study romance between birds. This happened at the hands of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which gave the funds to Cornell University. The grant was used “to study social communication in parrots, studying patterns such as social outcomes, if they kiss, and how males make sexual advances.”
WHO Labels Unvaccinated People A ‘Major Killing Force Globally’
USA - The World Health Organization (WHO) has labeled unvaccinated people a “major killing force globally” in a new campaign being promoted on social media. The WHO is promoting a new video that targets “anti-vaccine activism” by blasting those who choose not to be vaccinated for supporting “anti-science aggression.” The video features pediatrician and vaccine advocate Dr Peter Hotez who laments the “devastating impact of misinformation and disinformation” regarding Big Pharma’s Covid shots. Hotez goes on to link the so-called “anti-science aggression” of people who refuse the Covid vaccines to “far-right extremism.”
The professor continues by making several unsupported claims that “anti-vaccine activism” now “kills more people” than terrorism, gun violence, and several other crimes. He then alleges that “anti-science” has become a “political movement.”
The WHO has made this wholesale condemnation of “anti-vaccine activists” despite the emerging risks of the experimental mRNA shots. Neither Hotez nor the WHO provided any evidence to support the claims in the video that opposition to the vaccines is linked to extremism. Hotez is a pediatrician who works in the field of vaccine research and development and, in addition to his post at Baylor College of Medicine, is the Chair of Tropical Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital.
WARNING ABOUT IRAN from Israel's new National Security head
ISRAEL - Former minister Tzachi Hanegbi, who did not enter the Knesset after being placed in the 46th spot on the Likud slate, will be appointed head of the National Security Council, one of the most sensitive and central positions in the political-security establishment. In a recent interview with Channel 12 News, Hanegbi said that he believes that Netanyahu will act to thwart Iran’s nuclear program during his upcoming term in office.
“If there’s anything that could be critical in the next few months, it is the issue of Iran’s nuclear program,” he said. Asked to clarify if Israel, in a government headed by Netanyahu, will physically attack Iran’s nuclear facilities with bombs, he replied, “I believe it will have no choice."
On the question of whether he heard this from Netanyahu himself or whether this is his own assessment, Hangebi replied, “I’m talking about an assessment, but from an acquaintance of over 35 years with Netanyahu, I’m basing my assessment on the fact that when there is no choice, someone has to take command, and that someone will be Netanyahu.”
Doomsday warnings for 2023
UK - For thousands of years, predictions of apocalypse have come and gone. But with dangers rising from nuclear war and climate change, does the planet need to at least begin contemplating the worst? When the world rang in 2022, few would have expected the year to feature the US president speaking of the risk of doomsday, following Russia's threats to go nuclear in its invasion of Ukraine. 'We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban missile crisis' in 1962, Joe Biden said in October. And on the year that humanity welcomed its eighth billion member, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the planet was on a 'highway to climate hell.'
The Global Challenges Foundation, a Swedish group that assesses catastrophic risks, warned in an annual report that the threat of nuclear weapons use was the greatest since 1945 when the United States destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in history's only atomic attacks.
The report warned that an all-out exchange of nuclear weapons, besides causing an enormous loss of life, would trigger clouds of dust that would obscure the sun, reducing the capacity to grow food and ushering in 'a period of chaos and violence, during which most of the surviving world population would die from hunger'.
Amid the focus on Ukraine, US intelligence believes North Korea is ready for a seventh nuclear test, Biden has effectively declared dead a deal on Iran's contested nuclear work and tensions between India and Pakistan have remained at a low boil.
