VATICAN - Pope Francis has declared mankind is experiencing the outbreak of World War Three. In his address to Polish-speaking pilgrims at the end of his weekly audience in the Vatican yesterday, the pontiff encouraged prayers 'in a special way' for the people of Ukraine. He said: 'Tomorrow you will remember the anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War, which so painfully marked the Polish nation. 'Today we are experiencing the third. May the memory of past experiences spur you to cultivate peace in yourselves, in families, and in social and international life.' In April, Francis said humanity is moving towards WWIII like it is 'unavoidable', and he has frequently warned of imminent global conflict. It comes as the Vatican moved to defend Francis from allegations that he has not come down hard enough on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. In a statement the Vatican said: 'In recent days, public discussions have arisen about the political significance to attribute' to comments by Francis. 'The words of the Pope on this dramatic question should be read as a voice raised in defence of human life and of the values linked to that, and not taken as a political position,' the Vatican said.

USA - Follow The Science?: Scientists have become the high priests of a new and almost universal religion — Scientism. Since Covid, we have heard a constant refrain of, “Follow the science!” Political campaigns argue over who best follows the real science on any given issue. Newscasts and articles push their point of view by claiming a closer affiliation to science than the other side. For more and more people, decisions are not a matter of wisdom or common sense, but about someone else’s definition of “the science.”

SWITZERLAND – The era of fake money is gone: Egon von Greyerz (EvG) is a former Swiss banker and financial expert that says massive money printing and huge amounts of unpayable debt will lead to a monster financial meltdown soon. EvG says, “I did forecast that... the stock market is going to fall at this particular point. The 1,000-point drop on the DOW last Friday came right on cue. Fundamentally, the markets should have crashed a long time ago..." The world is going to see a collapse that it has never seen before in history, and there is absolutely no remedy for that. You will have an implosion of values, I expect 90% plus. Stocks crashed in 1929 to 1932 by 90%. The risk back then and the magnitude of the problems then were nothing compared to what we have today. Remember, today it’s global, and it’s every single country in the world... It’s everywhere, and no one can escape what’s coming.”

USA - We have never seen anything like this before. There are some parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by endless drought, and there are other parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by relentless flooding. So if you happen to live some place where weather patterns are still behaving normally, you should consider yourself to be incredibly blessed. In all my years, I have never seen extreme conditions in so many areas of the world simultaneously. This is a major red flag, but unfortunately the vast majority of the general population is still not paying attention.

USA - More than two-fifths of Americans believe civil war is at least somewhat likely in the next 10 years, according to a new survey – a figure that increases to more than half among self-identified “strong Republicans”. Most experts believe a full-scale armed conflict, like the American civil war of 1861-65, remains unlikely. But many fear an increase of jagged political division and explicitly political violence, particularly as Republican politicians who support Trump’s lie about electoral fraud run for Congress, governor’s mansions and key state elections posts. This month, Rachel Kleinfeld, a specialist in civil conflict at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, told the Guardian: “Countries with democracies and governments as strong as America’s do not fall into civil war. But if our institutions weaken, the story could be different.”

USA - Recent torrential rain coupled with years of water system issues have resulted in a crisis in Jackson, Mississippi, where the city doesn't have enough water to fight fires, flush toilets or even hand out to residents in need. Jackson's main water treatment facility began failing Monday, according to Governor Tate Reeves. The National Guard was called up to help distribute bottled water as crews work to get the water treatment plant back online, state officials said. But the distribution itself proved unsustainable. Residents of all ages were seen waiting in lines more than a mile long at Hawkins Field Airport for at least two hours Tuesday for just one case of bottled water. The event was supposed to span three hours, but barely ran two as people were eventually turned away when the 700 cases of water ran out.

AUSTRALIA - A Melbourne scientist friend, Geoff Sherrington, had crunched the latest data from the UAH satellites and found Australia has not warmed for the past ten years – so much for the “climate emergency”. The planet itself hasn’t warmed for nearly eight years, the satellites say. The piece was titled “A Clear Case of Hot, Hotter … Hoodwinked”. Weirdly, it’s created a furore in the Parliament of British Columbia (BC), Canada’s western-most province. BC is about the size of NSW and has a Queensland-size population. John Rustad, the BC Liberals’ shadow spokesman for forests (he’s worked in forests 20 years) was fired from his party last week for tweeting a link to the Quadrant piece. He now sits on the cross-bench as an independent. Patrick Moore is also a case in point. He was president of Greenpeace Canada for nine years and a Greenpeace International director for seven more. He holds a Science Honors degree in forest biology and a PhD in ecology. Wikipedia now rewrites history to deny that Moore was a Greenpeace co-founder.

USA - The number of manufacturing jobs that have been reshored to the United States is at a “record high” as concerns swirl over supply chain dependency on China, a new research report details. The report, published by the Reshoring Initiative, reveals that a record number of American manufacturing jobs have been brought home after being offshored and outsourced to foreign countries over the last two decades when China entered the World Trade Organization (WTO). “In 2021 the private and federal push for domestic supply of essential goods propelled reshoring and foreign direct investment (FDI) job announcements to a record high,” the report states. In 2022, the report projects that about 350,000 American jobs are expected to be reshored to the US labor market — another record after 2021 set a record when 260,000 American jobs were brought home. Meanwhile, a study from 2019 found that permanent US tariffs of 25 percent on all Chinese imports would create more than a million American jobs in five years. American manufacturing is vital to the US economy, as every manufacturing job supports an additional 7.4 American jobs in other industries.

ISRAEL - An Israeli official said that the US hinted it was preparing a military option against Iran during a meeting between Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz and US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Friday, The Times of Israel reported. The Israeli official said that Gantz told Sullivan that Israel “needs” the US to have a credible military option against Iran. The meeting came as Washington and Tehran are engaged in negotiations to revive the nuclear deal. The official said that Gantz received “good hints” that the US was preparing a military option. The official didn’t offer details but said the idea of the military option that Israel wants would be to get Iran to make more concessions in negotiations. If not, the US could potentially take military action against the Islamic Republic alongside Israel.

IRAN - Iran's president has threatened to destroy Israel if it carries out military strikes on Tehran's nuclear program. Amid tensions, the Jewish state is suspected of carrying out a series of attacks targeting Iranian nuclear sites, as well as a prominent scientist. In a rare news conference on Monday marking his first year in office, President Ebrahim Raisi said if Israel decides to carry out its threats to destroy Iran's nuclear program, 'they will see if anything from the Zionist regime will remain or not.' Raisi said that actions by Israel including 'the assassination of (Iranian) nuclear scientists' and 'acts of sabotage' against nuclear facilities could 'not stop' Iran's nuclear program. He also warned that any roadmap to restore Tehran's tattered nuclear deal with world powers must see international inspectors end their probe on man-made uranium particles found at undeclared sites in the country. Raisi tried to sound upbeat as Iran's economy and rial currency has cratered under the weight of international sanctions.

USA - A bill proposed by House Republicans would prevent any taxpayer dollars from possibly supporting the initiatives of the World Economic Forum, a corporate-dominated non-governmental group that advocates for centralised, undemocratic power and global governance. The legislation, which is supported by Representatives Tom Tiffany, Lauren Boebert, and Scott Perry, was prompted by controversy surrounding the group’s use of COVID-19 to further its corporate-leftist social agenda. Climate change has also been weaponized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a pretext for enacting the ideas of its “Great Reset” doctrine, which calls for the complete abolition of private property. The “Defund Davos Act,” which builds on prior efforts by the Trump administration to withdraw from other international organisations including the World Health Organization (WHO), would ensure that American taxpayer funds do not support the WEF’s goals.

PAKISTAN - The country is faced with a crisis of “unimaginable proportions,” climate change minister Sherry Rehman says. A third of Pakistan is under water as a result of flooding caused by record monsoon rains, the South Asian country’s climate change minister, Sherry Rehman, has said. “It's all one big ocean, there’s no dry land to pump the water out,” Rehman told the news agency AFP on Monday. Pakistan spans 881,913 square kilometers (340,509 square miles), which makes it the world’s 33rd-largest country by area, ahead of the likes of Turkey, France and Germany. Inhabited by almost 242 million people, it’s also the fifth most populated nation in the world. More than 3,000 roads have been destroyed, with 130 bridges and 495,000 homes damaged by flash floods, the agency said. Rehman estimated last week that the disaster had affected around 33 million people in the country.

INDIA - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered condolences to the victims of deadly floods in Pakistan, which have killed more than 1,000 and devastated much of the country, amid reports that New Delhi could soon offer assistance to its neighbor. Modi took to Twitter on Monday to comment on the natural disaster, saying he is “Saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan.” “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and all those affected by this natural calamity and hope for an early restoration of normalcy,” the PM added. According to sources cited by the Indian Express, Modi’s government is now mulling whether to authorize humanitarian aid to Pakistan to help deal with the aftermath of the floods, which have killed more than 1,100 people according to the latest tally. While the outlet said no final decision had been made, it noted that “top officials” are discussing the possible move. If approved, it would be the first round of humanitarian aid to Pakistan since Modi took office in 2014, though prior governments offered assistance during past natural disasters, such as floods in 2010 and a 2005 earthquake.

USA - According to PNSN, 88 earthquakes rattled Mount St Helens in the last 30 days. They all lie within the crater. PNSN also explains on their website that: on average (not during eruptions or their precursors) they locate about 17 earthquakes a month at Mount St.Helens. So 88 quakes are a lot more (a difference of 71 from the monthly average)…These quakes are related to stresses generated by magma recharge into the main crustal magma system. Although the seismic activity has decreased over the last 2 days, this new sequence of earthquakes clearly demonstrate that Mount St Helens is preparing for the next eruption… Just be ready for the next big explosion!
