USA - The world economy is lurching toward an unprecedented confluence of economic, financial, and debt crises, following the explosion of deficits, borrowing, and leverage in recent decades. In the private sector, the mountain of debt includes that of households (such as mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, student loans, personal loans), businesses and corporations (bank loans, bond debt, and private debt), and the financial sector (liabilities of bank and nonbank institutions). In the public sector, it includes central, provincial, and local government bonds and other formal liabilities, as well as implicit debts such as unfunded liabilities from pay-as-you-go pension schemes and health-care systems – all of which will continue to grow as societies age.
ISRAEL - Outgoing Public Security Minister Omer Barlev warned Thursday that his successor could spark widescale Palestinian unrest if he tries to change the status quo at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount. Far-right MK Itamar Ben Gvir, set to take over the post in the coming weeks, has been a frequent critic of regulations at the Jerusalem holy site.
UK - As with many of the crises facing Britain, the government would have the public believe that Russia and Vladimir Putin should be blamed for the energy crunch, but Britain’s especially parlous situation — despite the fact it imports little Russian gas directly — can be attributed in large part to years of mismanagement by Conservative Party-led governments.
EUROPE - Due to the decline in Russian imports, the European Union is currently experiencing an energy crisis. The developing world may fall into energy poverty due to Europe’s increasing demand. According to a Credit Suisse energy analyst quoted by Bloomberg on Tuesday, the EU energy crisis would undoubtedly result in energy poverty in developing nations. “Europe is sucking gas away from other countries whatever the cost,” Saul Kavonic told the media.
HOLLAND - The Dutch government announced plans to buy and close up to 3,000 farms near areas deemed environmentally sensitive to comply with EU climate rules, the Telegraph reported. The Netherlands stated that it would first offer one-time voluntary deals to large nitrogen-emitting farms in hopes of reducing pollution. However, if not enough farmers accept that initial offer, the Dutch government announced that it would move forward with "compulsory purchases."
UK - Balenciaga has had no shortage of headlines the past couple of weeks. Initially, they were ridiculed for an ad campaign that featured toddlers holding teddy bears dressed in kink and bondage leather chains, etc. Then, a US Supreme Court decision regarding child pornography was discovered conspicuously hidden in a Balenciaga handbag.
INDIA – The Indian Government blames public for getting vaccines despite being aware of its side effects – claims it cannot be held liable for any injuries. The Indian government has argued before the Supreme Court of India that it is not liable for any injuries that may occur as a result of the Covid vaccine, according to its affidavit dated November 23. This affidavit was submitted in response to a petition filed by the parents of two young women in India who tragically lost their lives after receiving the experimental Covid vaccine last year, according to Hindustan Times.
USA - There are probably trace amounts of animal poop, rat hairs and insect skin in some of your favorite foods — and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is OK with it. The average 17oz jar of peanut butter is legally allowed to contain up to five rodent hairs and still meet the agency's regulatory standards. Every store-bought 3oz bag of popcorn can ship with one rat poop pellet, and a standard 1.5oz bar of chocolate is allowed up to 30 insect parts.
INDIA - The armed forces of India published videos this week showing the nation’s soldiers ordering birds of prey known as “kites” to seize and destroy small drones mid-air. The videos are from ongoing military exercises in Uttarakhand, near the border with India, in which Indian forces are training alongside Americans to improve cooperation and teamwork in the event of having to fight together.
UK - David McGinley and his wife Ashlie are both working, but the rising cost of living means they are struggling financially. "It angers me," says Mr McGinley, from Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. "We feel like we are doing the right thing but are being punished." He says the family are in emergency credit on the electricity meter "every other day", their grocery bill has risen by 50%, and sometimes a meal is beans on toast.
USA - More security cameras per capita in the US than in China: Silicon Valley whistleblower: Americans today seem to be mostly oblivious and unconcerned that they are being watched, listened to, and recorded every day by the Big Tech Globalists.
USA - Representative James Comer (Republican for Kentucky) promised that the House Oversight Committee would target waste, fraud, and abuse in the new Congress. Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday, Comer told host Chuck Todd that the Republican-led committee would investigate the hundreds of billions of dollars in COVID-related funding while accusing Democrats of misusing it to focus on left-wing social issues. “We believe that there have been hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars wasted over the past three years – that spans two administrations - in the name of COVID,” Comer continued.
UK - While each of Beveridge’s “Five Giants” — want, disease, ignorance, squalor and idleness — remains unslain, one in particular retains the power to cripple entire nations with the stroke of a pen. The past three years have revealed many things, the most disturbing being the extent to which Beveridge’s notion of public health has been perverted. Not only is the NHS falling short of its original aim of providing free and adequate healthcare for all, but, as something meant to liberate human beings from the threat of disease, public health is slowly being transformed into an instrument of social control.
RUSSIA - Are some of the cryptocurrency industry’s most important pioneers being targeted by someone? We just learned that a 53-year-old cryptocurrency billionaire named Vyacheslav Taran has died, and he is the third big name to suddenly meet his maker in recent weeks. So is this just one giant coincidence, or is there some common denominator that links all three of them? There is so much that we don’t know right now, but it is interesting to note that all three of these deaths have happened at a time when the cryptocurrency community is going through an unprecedented amount of turmoil. The collapse of FTX is threatening the legitimacy of the entire industry, and many that were once crypto millionaires on paper have had their fortunes completely wiped out.
THAILAND - French President Emmanuel Macron advocated for a “single global order” in his speech at the Apec summit in Bangkok, where leaders from around the world were present. While considering the possibility for war and the power interests of Russia and China, Macron made the remarks. “We are in a jungle and we have two big elephants becoming more and more nervous,” he said. “If they become very nervous and start a war, it will be a big problem for the rest of the jungle. You need the cooperation of a lot of other animals, tigers, monkeys and so on,” added Macron.
