UK - Vladimir Putin is obviously responsible for the war. That doesn’t mean we can’t debate what happens next. Nigel Farage has faced almost unanimous criticism for his assertion that, while Vladimir Putin carries prime responsibility for the war in Ukraine, the West’s provocative decision to enlarge NATO had made Russia ready for confrontation. But these criticisms are mostly outbursts of the “How can you parrot Putin?” variety rather than serious examinations of the evidence. Obviously Farage is right to say that Putin is responsible for the indefensible invasion of Ukraine. But as to his more controversial point about NATO expansion, history – much of it recently researched – also backs his claim.
USA - When it comes to privacy and overall security of some of people’s most sensitive (financial, but also, “behavioral”) biometric data, massive global banks and payment processors, and burgeoning biometric surveillance was always going to be that perfect “match made in hell.” And that reality is gradually taking shape. Not only is biometric tech and its ubiquitousness increasing (still in most countries without proper legal protections or proper “disclosure” of how and why it is being used) – but behemoths like Mastercard and Visa are realizing they have access to massive amounts of highly monetizable people’s data.
USA - The safety problems plaguing Boeing are now genuinely ‘out of this world’, as they include ‘multiple helium leaks’ on the Starliner rocket that has left astronauts stranded on the International Space Station. And worse: it has now arisen that both NASA and Boeing managers knew about the problem, but OK’d the launch anyway, believing it ‘too small to pose a threat’. This dramatic turn of events compounds the already critical situation with Boeing, after multiple high-profile malfunctions of planes and over 20 whistleblowers alerting about safety and quality issues.
USA - The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and other activist groups have joined with nine Louisiana families to sue the state over a new law that requires publicly funded schools to post copies of the Ten Commandments in classrooms. The case was filed on Monday in the US District Court in Baton Rouge. The plaintiffs claimed that the controversial law “substantially interferes” with the constitutional right of parents to raise their children in the religion of their choosing. The lawsuit added that the state mandate sends a “harmful and religiously divisive message” that students of different beliefs “do not belong in their own school community.”
UK - Benchmark global energy report throws cold water on claims of a transition away from fossil fuels. Of the 620 exajoules consumed globally last year, 196 came from oil, 164 came from coal, and 144 came from natural gas, according to the 2024 “Statistical Review of World Energy." All renewables, excluding hydroelectric, was 8.2% of the total. The latest figures on the globe’s energy mix dispute claims that the world is quickly transitioning off of fossil fuels. According to the latest version of the “Statistical Review of World Energy,” coal, natural gas and oil remained the dominant source of energy in 2023, and coal consumption and production hit record highs.
USA - There’s a summer heat wave going on, which gives journalists the opportunity to fill up their stories with the climate change boilerplate. It no longer matters whether any of it is true. Just the opposite, in fact. If you point out the truth, you’re accused of being a denier. Sure, the data doesn’t show an increase in the number of heat waves, or hurricanes, or tornadoes, or wildfires. Yet every time one or the other strikes, the press robotically connects that event to “climate change.” And so, true to form, every story about the current heat wave says that climate change is to blame. To our eye, there’s no discernible trend at all. Particularly when you consider that the truly terrible heat waves occurred in the 1930s, long before human activity could have had any meaningful effect on global climate.
USA - Google doesn’t want you to know the truth about heat waves and ‘climate change’. Last week, we published an editorial arguing that government data didn’t support various claims about climate change. And we predicted Google would demonetize it. We were right. Shortly after that article was published, Google’s AdSense informed us that it had “disabled ad serving” on that page because the article contained “unreliable and harmful claims.” So what was “unreliable” or “harmful” about that editorial? Google doesn’t say. It just says we have to “fix” it if we want their ads to run on that page. What we can say is that Google has effectively labeled official government data as “unreliable and harmful,” since all the evidence we provided was from official sources.
AUSTRALIA - The totalitarian, morally-bankrupt nation of Australia has introduced a controversial new Ministry that specifically targets MEN and seeks to change MAN’s behavior. The Premier of Victoria - Jacinta Allan - has appointed a man named Tim Richardson to become the nation’s first Parliamentary Secretary for Men’s Behavior Change. The new Ministry will seek to monitor, control and change men’s behavior throughout Australia. The Ministry will use online tools to make men have respectful dialogue with women, etc. To get the population behind this social engineering program, there must be a manufactured crisis. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the corporate state media claim the country is experiencing a "national crisis” of “gender-based violence." The Prime Minister suggests that all men should take responsibility for this crisis, and the government must act now!
USA - You Can’t Make This Up: Experts are Now Investigating Whether Milk is Racist in Government-Funded Study on Dairy’s Ties to Colonialism. In the latest display of far-left absurdity, taxpayer money is now being funneled into a study investigating the supposed ties between milk and colonialism. Yes, you read that correctly. Back in 2018, the New York Times published an article titled, “Why White Supremacists Are Chugging Milk (and Why Geneticists Are Alarmed).” In 2017, leftist PETA also published an article titled, “Why Cow’s Milk Is the Perfect Drink for Supremacists.” Now, it seems academics at Oxford are jumping on the bandwagon, ready to dissect the ‘political nature’ of milk and its so-called ‘colonial legacies.’
RUSSIA - The Kremlin has directly accused the United States of orchestrating a missile attack on Crimea that resulted in four deaths and 151 injuries. Utilizing US-supplied ATACMS missiles, the strike has prompted Moscow to issue a stern warning to the US ambassador, hinting at imminent retaliation. Russian officials claim this conflict with the West has reached a critical and dangerous phase. The direct accusation against the US for the Crimea assault, an area Russia annexed in 2014, is a significant escalation. Posts to social media allegedly show the missile launch, another of the strike itself.
RUSSIA - The Ukrainian attack that killed at least 5 Russian beachgoers and wounded another 124 in Sevastopol reportedly used American-supplied ATACMS missiles armed with cluster munition warheads. A number of open source intelligence analysts have suggested the missiles were observed and may have even been directed by a US Air Force surveillance drone operating nearby at the time. According to Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Telegram channel, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov said this when asked to comment on the ATACMS strike on Crimea:
SOUTH KOREA - A South Korean national security adviser has warned that Russia could cross a “red line” by providing certain precision weaponry to the North, potentially eliminating the justification for Seoul’s decision to refrain from providing lethal military aid to Ukraine. “I would like to emphasize that it all depends on what Russia will do,” senior national security official Chang Ho-jin said on Sunday in an interview with South Korea’s KBS TV. “Will there be any line remaining for us if Russia gives precision weapons to North Korea?” Chang’s latest comments come three days after he told reporters that the South Korean government could reconsider its self-imposed ban on sending weapons to Ukraine.
ISRAEL - Israeli troops are poised to shift toward the country’s border with Lebanon to confront Hezbollah as the fighting against Hamas in the Gaza Strip winds down, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed. Speaking on Sunday in his first Israeli television interview since the war with Hamas started last October, Netanyahu said major combat operations in the Palestinian enclave are nearly over. “It doesn’t mean that the war is about to end, but the war in its intense phase is about to end in Rafah,” he added. Rising tensions between West Jerusalem and Hezbollah have stoked US fears that Israel will trigger a wider war in the Middle East, dragging in American forces. Netanyahu dismissed such concerns, saying, “We can fight on several fronts, and we are prepared to do that.”
LEBANON - Whistleblowers at the airport told The Telegraph they were concerned about increasing weapons supplies arriving on direct flights from Iran. Hezbollah is storing huge quantities of Iranian weapons, missiles, and explosives in Beirut's main civilian airport, according to airport whistleblowers. In a city that has been battered economically since 2019, the whistleblower claims workers collaborating with Hezbollah "walk around like peacocks" with new watches and smartphones, and drive new cars. "A lot of money [is] being passed under the table," he added.
LEBANON - ‘Lebanon doesn’t want war’. A large part of anti-Hezbollah sentiment being stoked by Lebanese Christians. With an all-out war between Hezbollah and Israel seemingly getting closer every day, many Lebanese have begun to protest against the terror group for dragging their country into a potentially devastating war. Fearing reprisals from Hezbollah, the largest and most powerful armed force in the country, many Lebanese have taken to the internet with slogans and caricatures in an effort to mobilize the public against war. Among the most popular online campaign slogans is the hashtag “#Lebanon doesn’t want war,” which the Jerusalem Post reported had almost 40,000 appearances last month, with a potential to reach nearly 30 million users.
